Tulum Beach Rehearsal Dinner at Hotel Esencia

Mexico in winter is a slice of heaven: white sandy beaches, fresh Mexican food, and balmy temperatures (while the rest of the northern hemisphere is in the grips of winter chill). We had the pleasure of working Casey and Alan and their delightful families at the dreamy Hotel Esencia for their three-day long wedding celebration. We kicked off their long weekend of events with this mesmerizing rehearsal dinner on a picturesque beach in front of the Presidential Suite, then led the guests along a beach path of tiki lights to the boutique hotel’s pool lounge for drinks, sweets (churro bar anyone?) and mingling.

The event was a sensory delight, where local flavors took center stage, transporting guests on a culinary journey through the vibrant Mexican cuisine. The menu featured a fusion of traditional dishes infused with contemporary twists, incorporating the freshest ingredients sourced from nearby farms and the bountiful ocean. As the sun set over the horizon, the tables adorned with curated and foraged flora (from the incredibly talented La Musa de las Flores) created an enchanting ambiance, seamlessly blending with the natural beauty of the surroundings. The fiber forward design added an element of sophistication, incorporating sustainable and organic materials that harmonized with the beachfront setting. This intimate dinner at Hotel Esencia became a captivating experience, showcasing the best of Mexico's culinary treasures, stunning natural landscapes, and a commitment to sustainable living and design.
